Any Good fame Quests In Bastok?

OKay, I'm not sure if I have asked a question similar to this in the past, so please forgive me if I have, as I can't really remember.

I'm looking for any good Bastok quests to raise my lvl of fame.
My fame lvl for Sandy is 4, and Bastok is 3, so I'm in need of some good quests to get my fame lvl pegging with sandy.

I have heard in the past that some quests have a higher fame rate than others.
Also, I have heard that repeatable quests don't give you as much of a fame rate than those which are none repeatable.
Is this true, and if so, then how do you work that out?
And what is the highest fame rate you can get for any one quest?

How many quests does it take to reach the next fame lvl?

I had just started the bucket run with Foss, the NPC in Bastok Markets, but it seems to be taking forever to raise my fame to 4, just to keep passing him 5 bunches of rusty buckets (these I have been fishing for)

Can anyone give me any good links and/or suggest any good quests in Bastok which have a high-ish fame rate so that I can raise my fame in a few days?

Trade 3 zeruhn soot to a Galka outside of Zeruhn Mines.

Zone Work Area (F-8)
NPC Gerbaum
Start Talk to Gerbaum

Summary 　 Walkthrough: Speak with Gerbaum (F-8). He speaks of creatures in the Zeruhn Mines and needs help dealing with them. He asks you to bring him proof of this, 3 Zeruhn Soot. Tunnel Worms, Ding Bats and Mouse Bats inside Zeruhn Mines drop the soot. These can also be bought at the Auction House under Misc/Other. Return to Gerbaum with the soot and receive your reward of 150 Gil. Here’s a tip. This quest is a good way to boost your Bastok fame. Rinse and repeat.

If you have the ability to warp, the Bubbly Bearnie quest is pretty decent. All you need are quus. run out to the light house, pop Bearnie, kill him, warp back, turn in item. repeat. Not saying its the best, but it works. The Selbia Sheep quest is good too.

Just buy stacks of Boyahda Moss and go to Selbina. Feed the sheep and you'll get back most of the money you spent on moss too. It's been a while since I did it but I think I used 20-30 stacks in order to get lvl 7 fame in Bastok.

I think I did about 10-15 to get lvl 7 in Sandy, and that was starting at 0. And like TGM said, if you wait for a little bit lower price on AH in Jeuno you'll hardly lose any money at all. I believe if you wait till they're around 10k-11k a stack you only end up losing a few thousand a stack. The quest gives back around 6 or 7k per stack iirc. It also simultaneously levels both Sandy and Bastok fame, so you get more bang for your buck.

That many stacks gives you hero fame for doing the Selbina sheep quest?? (for Bastok & Sandy) Nooooo! I'd be quite surprised if it did!

More bang for your buck hey? LOL..... never heard that one before.

Anyway... I've always found that Jeuno is always the only place for selling things quite expensive at the AH. I tend to buy from Bastok, Sandy or windy AH cause theyre not so bad on prices.

Well overall..... I was actually looking for quests in Bastok which didn't include turning in items because I was finding it rather boring and VERY tedious indeed! Takes forever to keep running back and fourth with items all the time. But Now I got to thinking...... well at least with the Selbina sheep quest, you get gill back for it, so if I can hand in so many stacks in one go, then it would probably work out fine.

About the Bubbly Bernie Quest in Bastok.....
I had a go of this yesterday, and the drop I got was a steam clock.
Please could you tell me where I hand this in, and how much gil do you get back for it in return?

The steam clock goes to the old lady on the opposite side of bastok markets, near the entrance to port bastok. She's in the house next to the shop. I think you get 500 gil per run. Not sure what quus go for these days, back when I was a newb you could make money off of it, just not a whole lot.
Windy the best one is cornettes. Wait until Bastok is atleast 2nd place in conquest. Go to the instrument salesman and buy cornettes for like 300gil a piece. Buy 30 and slowly transfer them to your main char in Windy. I can't remember who the npc in windy is, but somepage will tell you. I think you only lose 100gil per cornette, so not a big loss.

As for the sheep quest, you can only turn in one moss at a time, but there's not a whole lot of downtime or npc talking b/w trades so it goes decently quickly. Takes a little over 10 minutes to do 10 stacks I think.
Btw, if you get bored just trading in stuff over and over, then by no means should you even attempt the bastore sardines quest in Windy. You make money off of it, but its not much at a time and you have to zone after each and every trade. You'll want to shoot yourself after about an hour or so and you MAY have upped your fame level one level.

back in the day this was an easy way to get fame an basically break even. nowadays i would not suggest this to anyone. especially since the mos stacks are over 20k,

20k? Geez, I got some for an ls mate a couple months ago and they were still only like 11 or 12k a stack. Money has gotten easy enough to come by that a few thousand really isn't a whole lot anymore. Pre-30 I could see it not being a cakewalk, but like all things with fame it does take atleast a little work.
Does the zeruhn soot not lose much money anymore? I remember trying it once back just before I did the moss and it lost MUCH more money at the time.
