Selbina moss quest!!!

I have just recently done this quest, I did not know about it untill a person on my friends list informed me, but if you collect seven stacks of the moss (Materials>alchemy in the ah) I am not sure how to spell the full name of the moss but hopefully you know what I mean, but anyway when you trade the moss to the man (old man in a vest and ants, looks sorta like a golfer xD)in Selbina standing near the fenced in sheep he not only gives you 600gil per clump, but it also raises your fame in every main town. Keep in mind though that when you trade it to him he takes one clump at a time, ex: if you trade him one stack, he will take one and leave you with 11/12 it takes like atleast a half hour to trade everything, but it raises your fame to almost max. Oh and another note dont worry about the other items he wants, you may get them for him, but as far as I know they dont do anything.

Quest Status: this quest can be done over and over again

oh wow thanks ^^ that is my task as soon as I get back on to finish and do 14 more stacks. oooh and this is of topic but how do you change your name color, I want to change mine to maybe a light blue or pink :D

it only raises sandoria and bastok (and selbina/rabao of course) fame. I like to use mil corn instead, it is cheaper (though longer).

as for your name color on this forum, you'll have to purchase it from the forum store (top of page) with your gil.

though the downside of this quest is that it might negatively affect your fame in norg (saw my rice balls increase in price). if you are farming zinc/necklaces for norg fame, i would caution you to not do this quest until after you get your ninja scrolls.

so what should I do to get Windy fame? and for some reason I cant change my name color? how much did you make it to be ;_;

i did la thein cabbages, but millioncorn works too.

the reason i traded him cabbages instead of moss was because you can buy the cabbages from an npc pretty easilly. you can buy the millioncorn too, but i didnt notice that being sold at the time (i saw it later though)

moss, cabbage, and corn all raise your fame. it's one of the easiest ways to get enough fame do do some of the gobbie bagf quests.

trade it to yoran in windurst walls. he's the mandragora research guy if you even done his quest.
