Sandy M2 Problems!

Ok, I believe im still on mission 2, after accepting it again accidentally after doign mission 3. SO I have rare bat item that drops, and i go to touch tomb, and no cutscene happens, i go to trade item to endracion and he says THIS. can someone PLEASe tell me what is up?!?!

Try getting the Orc axe for M1, and trade that to him !

Or it's possible that you tried to trade Bat's Wing rather than Bat's Tooth, the words look quite similar. You are not supposed to touch the tomb, that's a separate quest. You can just buy Bat's Tooth from AH.

For M2 for San you need to fight the dingbats that live in and around the tomb and you DO have to touch the tombstone to get the cutscene, then you can trade with Endracion and complete the mission. Writtin in black and white aswell: http://www.ffxionline.com/display.ph..._sando_db.html

I apologize for the mis-info. They must have changed it since I did it, which was like last June. I bought the thing and gave it to Endarcion, all done in San.:p

as i stated above, i have touched the tomb, and gotten the rare drop from the dingbats!! but no cutscene ever happens at the tomb or at endracion! he just give it back!!!! i tried trading the orc axe as well, and still he give back! i visit priest in cathedral incase mission 3 and no cutscene either!! its not mission 4 either.... graaaaaaggghh!! im so confused an angry! LOL

Please check your mission log to see which mission you are on. Post the screenshot and I'm sure we can figure out a solution.

ok here is my mission log, the missions info, and what it says when i touch the tomb, ill post a pic later of the RARE EX item from the dingbats too, unless its not required.

You are indeed on M2, "Defeating the Bats".

Can you please post the pic of the item you got?

Like I wrote above, I did my M2 a loooong time ago, and it has been changed since then. Upon checking with a Japanese site, (it didn't say anything touching the tomb), the new item should read:

ƒI?[ƒN‚ÌŠZ‚Ì?¬ŽD
(Orc's armor card or someting)

People who done it recently please shed some light.

I just noticed something. You have already completed M1-3, somehow you have accepted M2 again~

nevermind, i got it all figured out, all i had to do, was give him a bat's fang (peacemaker and jp player suggestion), like what the quest was like pre patch that changed it!!!!! no rare ex item, and i probably didnt have to touch the tomb again anyway. 4 days of frustration finally gone! and mission 2-1 done to boot! woo! thanks for your help to those that tried!

Hmmmmm, this is interesting. I know you have to touch the tombstone as I did it myself a few months back, and I helped some lower levels do it again last night and the tombstone had to be touched to get the cutscene otherwise the mission guard would just give you the bat fang back. But what Im wondering is that djsazabi is not on the Rag server maybe his server M2 is different(pre patch) to Rag?, Im just throwing ideas out but it seems very interesting.

well the first time i did m2, the rare ex item and touching tomb was required, but i guess if quest chosen again, all you need is any bat fang.
