Updates to your guide:
Promyvion-Vahzl has been made easier in case you lose or simply have to stop halfway for whatever reason. Once you beat one of the spawned NMs (Propagator, Solicitor, Ponderer), if you leave Vahzl and then return to click on the door in Pso'Xja ... you can start at any of the beaten Memory Fluxes. So if you've *beaten* the whole place, when going to the entrance you get the options to:
- enter normally
- teleport to Propagator
- teleport to Solicitor
- teleport to Ponderer
And since Ponderer is on the last floor ... no Memory Receptacle fights between you and the spire. Makes it easier not only for making your own trip in several smaller bites, but also for if you've beaten it yourself and want to alliance in to help some other people with the spawned NMs.
Regarding what you call 5-3A5. Not only do you have to zone into the 60-cap Pso'Xja tower, but you have to go all the way to the bottom of it and check the Avatar Gate. No fights needed assuming people have some stealth skills (and items - there are sound, sight, *and* magic aggros here). In simple terms, you go around the outside rooms counterclockwise until you're one room short of where you started (map helps a lot for this), and then you head west, drop down, and go to the elevator.
Also, after completing all three paths in chapter 5, you have to talk to Cid *again* (to tie up the current path, and them immediately segue (sp?) into the end-of-chapter-5 cutscene). And you don't have to go talk to Monberaux in 6-1.
You incidentally also get titles after beating 2-5 (though I think the title is more accurately for finishing chapter 2), 5-2, the mithra BC, the snoll BC, each of the three forks in chapter 5, and chapter 5 itself. (Need to double-check with a title bard, that Louverance's fork gives its own title, because you finish chapter 5 automatically as soon as you tie up the third fork. So it's possible there may only be one title per fork and no title for chapter 5 as a whole.)
The moblin BC does not give a title, but that's fair because it's ridiculously easy anyway. One of the moblins is even kind enough to suicide for you, and promptly gets chewed out by the other moblins for doing so.
Regarding Mine Shaft #2716, there exists a new quest called "Return to the Depths" that also calls for a BC there. However, since the quest is meant to be more accessible to players than the mission fights, it also very conveniently features an easier way to get to the BC area. Instead of a Snow Lily, all you need is a nice buyable Ahriman Tears.
You can't take an Ahriman Tears warp until you're not only on Return to the Depths (it has two prerequisites), but up to the point in the quest where you'd have to go to the BC anyway. (Let's just say that if you have a key item called "Pungent Providence Pot", you're good.) The Ahriman Tears warp will work as many times as you like, until you beat the quest BC. Might work after that too - haven't finished the quest yet - but I'm doubtful.
Since you have to go to the mine shaft several times for missions ... this is, needless to say, a much less stressful prospect than repeated farming of Snow Lilies.Just put off actually finishing the quest until you're all done with going to the place for mission purposes. The Bowyer Ring can wait till you're done with missions.
Couldn't start the quest to get CCB Polymer when on 6-2 (before the 3x detector-mob fight in Misareaux). After doing all the cutscenes up to being ready to fight the Sealion's Den BC, I was able to start the quest the next time I was in Jeuno. So you need to be a ways into chapter 6 before that one is available (but the only bump on the way is the detectors).Averter of the Apocalypse~
Unique quests complete: 330-something, keep losing count.
Mission plot lines complete: Windurst, Bastok, San d'Oria, Zilart, Promathia.
Maps not yet obtained: Promyvion-Dem, Promyvion-Mea, Promyvion-Holla, Promyvion-Vahzl, Sacrarium.
