Quicksand Caves map?

I recently obtained a coffer key for Quicksand Caves and I can remember reading somewhere that to get the map for the Caves you need to open the coffer chest and you'll get the map. My question is, do you have to unlock a quest or something to start this? If I find a coffer and just trade the key will I get the map no matter what? What's the process of getting the map?

Just open the coffer and you'll get the map. Now, if you've activated the AF quest for jobs with armor from the coffer there, I'm not sure what will happen if you open the coffer. If I had to guess, I'd think you'd get the AF armor before the map, but that's just speculation on my part.

Its in the Chest... if you have an AF there and the quest is active, I believe you will get the AF 1st. Of course the Beetles drops the coffer keys a lot.

What's the easiest way to get these treasure coffers? Which entrances lead to them?
