  • Bastok Mission 08 [M3-2]

Speak to the mission guard, either Cleades or Malduc. After obtaining the mission speak to Davyad in Bastok Mines (K-6). Then kill Rabbit type enemies in Dangruf Wadi for Rabbit Meat or just buy the item either from Bazaar or Auction House. With the Rabbit meat goto Gusgen in Konschtat Highlands (L-7). Unless you did the quest for the Gusgen Map, you will have no map. In any case Keep going into the tunnel and on the First area where the tunnel splits, take the Right Path, then Left Path, then Right Path, and finally another Right Path. In the final area(J-7) you should see a pond with ???.

Trade the Rabbit Meat to the ??? and a Fish by the name of Blind Moby will appear. Fight the monster and when the monster is defeated he will drop a Rare Rock Item.

Trade the item to either of the mission guards.
I know what to do, but I was just wondering what level you guys recommend to solo this? I'm a 30/15 DRG/WAR right now.

Unless you have Silent Oils and Prism Powders, and Blind Moby spawns in an area without other monsters nearby to link, soloing it would be a bad idea. Gusgen is a dangerous zone.

You don't have to go very deep into gusgen to get to blind moby. The only things in your way will be ghouls and bandersnatches, which are easy prey to lv30. So unless you have sneak, you'll have to fight your way to it. I personally killed blind moby with just me and a 30blm/whm (I was 30thf/mnk at the time). It was very easy and very fast with the 2 of us , and we each only needed 1-2 cures per fight. I imagine you can solo it at 30, though it would take longer, especially since there's a bandersnatch in the same room as blind moby that you'll want to kill first, but blind moby seemed no stronger than any bandersnatch we'd killed, maybe even easier...
