Selbina Clay: Battalia Frustration

Im currently completing the Selbina Clay quest for the Mayor and have hit a bump in the road. The first 9 I've done have been easy but this one is more complicated.

The monument I need to get the tablet from is on the little southern Island to the south of the mainland in Battalia. The only way onto it is through a cave. The only zone near the Island is the Eldiem Necropolis.

So.. not too big of a problem. Im a 27 WHM.. I just ran around Eldiem with sneak on for an hour (no map) and ended up just coming back through the zone I came in.

Does anyone know how to get to this Island? Do I indeed go through Eldiem? If so, is it the zone to the far south and which directions should I take if you know off the top of your head?

I really dont want to buy the map since my reward money for the tablet would basically be paying for the map.

the reward for that SM is 10k, and the map cost 3k, so, if you buy it now, you will have it when you get high levels and you prob will need the map then.

10K? I read it was only 3K.. the highest I saw was 6K for the Saramague SM where you have to travel through Garlaige.

But if its 10K I'll spend the 3K for the map.

Bought the map but can't find the right Eldiem to zone into. Which mound is it on the map? A lot of those ones I've been in have dead ended. The one mound to the south near the Island has no other Zone than the enterance.

Okay, I figured it all out and finished it. I'll tell how I did it so everyone else will know since its not documented anywhere online.

Several Silent Oils
Several Prism Powders
Eldiem Necropolis Map
1 other person

This tablet *must* have two people to get. It involves pushing two switches simultaneously in the middle of the Eldiem Necropolis (zone through the far south mound in Battalia). Both of these switches are guarded by bombs that hostile around magic and on sight.

What I did was cast sneak/invisible before hand (everything in the Necropolis hostiles on sound save the Bomb) and run to the first switch. My friend ran to the second switch on the opposite side of the map. After we got rid of invisible we each pushed the switch two times. This closes stone doors in the necropolis and opens others. Then we both used Silent Oil and Prism Powder on ourselves to avoid hostiling the nearby bombs and ran to the southern most chamber.

You'll need to fall through an invisible hole in the big pit area with the flying skulls which will take you to another level of the Necropolis. From here just head south till you zone. You'll be on the Island south of Battalia mainland.

You get 10K for this Tablet.
