Bronze Box and Smooth Stone

Can anyone help me in finding out what these two items are used for? I assume quests, but have no idea where to find the givers of said quests. If not quests, then I am totally lost. Heh...anyway....any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Smooth stone is for a quest in Windurst, but do not know the details on that other than a female is looking for it for her pickles I do believe, but could be wrong. I too am wondering about it. I triggered the quest a looooong time ago and never got to finish it.

Well that makes some sense, seeing as how the item description for the smooth stone is something to the effect of "perfect for making pickles". Thanks for your help...i'm at least a little closer to finding the answer for that. Anyone have any idea about the bronze box? I got it when fishing on the boat from Selbina to Mhaura. Thanks again.

Smooth stone goes to Chamama in Windurst Waters at the Rarab Tail Hostelry. Reward is a Bone Hairpin. Subsequent rewards are 200g. She usually will not take the first stone.

The bronze box is for the editor of the Taru-Taru Times in the section of Southern Windurst Waters with all of the houses to the far west. You will have needed to complete the first newsie quest.

do you know where to get that bronze box as i assume thats what i am missing for the quest i remember something about validty of a scoop or something, but don't know where to go

Fish up Ocean Crabs on the ship and kill them, they drop it. I paid 4k for the tarutaru rod and bought some worms just to get it on the off chance and I did. Don't really know how hard the drops is but the crabs seem easy enough.

sorry i am fairly new but i dont know what ship you mean or how to kill something once ive fished it 0_0

It took me around two months to get it ~~, I wasn't all the time in the ship, but I had to kill around 30 crabs to get the drop...

Pay 200 gil at Selbina to take the boat over to Mhaura or do it the other way. Be careful though, there are enemies on there that will tear you to pieces if you are on you're own, using the wrong rod could result in Sea Horror and theres always a chance of pirates. I'm not trying to put you off of doing it but more make you aware of what is what on the ship.

thank you so much for explaining that, but i must admit i am put off as i dont like the sound of all those factors against a young mage like myself who hasn't travelled that far really yet.
i have only been in windhurst and dont know where to get a boat have i missed something or somewhere i should have seen by now, or are we talking about a diffrent region

Heh, don't worry you're not a pain ^^. I'm not suprised you aren't sure where to get the boat as you wont really go to the place till you are level 15 or so. Be patient and you will soon see Mhaura.
