    Item- Ripped cap
Description- This black cap is slightly ripped and falling apart at the seams. It closely resembles the coveted "sailot's cap."

    ---

Just fished that up at the fishermans guild in Windurst, any idea of what it's for? Could it be for the quest in Mhaura where you have to bring proof of the girls father's death? I thought you had to kill pirates for that, but... no idea what this is. Any ideas are welcome, thanks.

    could be this one

    Traveller's Hat
    from: Paytah (port Windhurst)
reward: Dhamlel Mant + Leather Ring
Trade Hat to start quest. This can be fished up in port. Any bait or rod is ok. Trade the hat to Baren Moren at the hat shop in Waters, then find 4 Dhalmel Skins. Trade to receive the hat and Dhalmel Mantle. Return the hat to Paytah to complete quest.

The ripped cap is not the traveller's hat. I'm very curious as to what the ripped cap is for as well, having fished up dozens of them. (Too bad they're RareEx)

I have been told that even though the quest says "traveller's hat", it actually is the "ripped cap" that is needed for the Paytah quest. I have no idea where a translation was mixed up or something, but the ripped cap works in place of the travellers hat. Hope that helps.
