Would someone tell me the whole drain magic deal? i want to get that, but i'm from windurst. I know that i need sandoria fame but how much and how can i obtain that? also is there any requirements for that quest? and after that.. how do i come about drain magic? thanks in advance :

talk to Novelma..... (can't spell is full name) in the jail under sandoria castle.
If you meet the requirement, he will offer you to bring back a vial of beasts blood.
I think you need rank 3 (or even 4 or 5) to open that quest.

beast blood, Im not sure what the ENG name will be, there are 2 kinds of blood that a leech type monster can drop. a red blood, which is common. and a purple blood, which more rare.
you need the purple blood for this quest. higher level leeches will be easier to get it from.

ok.. thanks jei. and how about the fame requirements. do i have to do a quest from every city before doing it there? like RSE? and would you tell me the quest to rank numbers? thanks a whole lot in advance.

you do missions for rank. not quests.

I don't really know if you need fame... hmm im not that good qith quests you know
Im waiting to re-do all quest in the english version. I don't enjoy doing quest in japanese because i can't read anything at all.

It is a Sandorian quest so, you'll need to be atleast rank2 in order to get the quest accepted. If your from another country, your screwed because I'm almost 100% you have to be rank5 or Novelmage will not offer you the quest. I personally wanted to do this quest a long time ago because drain is like 10k in AH, but the bastard turned me down and my Sandorian fame is pretty decent (around 30-35 originals in Sandoria). I think its best you buy the spell at AH first since its lv10 spell, and then do the quest later when your rank5 and AH the spell to make up for the gil you spent to buy it.



Oh btw, there is also a quest for Aspire which i reccomend for you to do later on as well ^.~

Err.. thanks... :mad: RANK 5? that'll take me forever.. .. ok i'll buy it ... 10k well i'm sure i won't buy it at jeuno.. it's like 15k there so any suggestions to where? most of the starting cities doesnt' even sale it anymore. i'll check on windurst tonite. thanks all for answering my post! ..
