Returning player, hated SWTOR

As the title states, I recently purchased Star Wars: The Old Republic and found it very bland. I longed for the music and challenge of FFXI, and decided to return. One of my biggest fears though, and I'm sure this is common of all returning players, is the low-level climb. I would hate to do this without an active linkshell community or something similar to ease my return.

A lot of the content is high-level stuff right now. Not many low-leveling. However, you'll find SOME people who are doing FoV/GoV in alliances the gain those levels.

From my perspective, it MIGHT be a little slow getting to the high-level content without a linkshell or a few high-level dedicated friends to help you out (assuming you're starting from scratch).
