I used to play under the aliases Ryane and Zeredah on the Midgardsormr server. So, since my last login, it looks like Midgardsormr was merged into the Quetzalcoatl server and six addons have been added to the game that have really changed a lot of what I remember.
I’m wondering though, is the game worth going back to? Sadly, if I do decide to come back, I’ll have to start from scratch since I don’t remember any of my account information. And, I mildly recall myself doing one of those infamous scenes where I get a random White Mage to teleport me and I tip them with a Kirin’s Osode and a few million gil. I don’t know though, what are your guys’ opinions?
Also, how well supported is the game right now? Some things I read about the game say that it’s still being supported. But, I also know that what they say and how the community feels are two different things. So, do you guys feel like Square-Enix is still giving Final Fantasy XI their deserved attention?
Furthermore, has a large portion of the population moved from Final Fantasy XI to Final Fantasy XIV? I was part of the launch crowd with Final Fantasy XIV, but didn’t stick around long because the game really felt incomplete. I know that they’ve made some great changes to the game, but is that where I should be going or is Final Fantasy XI the game that everyone stuck with?
Finally, this really applies to former Midgardsormr players, but are any players from Phoenix Down still around? Are any players from Skittles still around? Does Berrykins or Savanna still play?
