starting Abyssea for the returning player questions

Just came back to the game after a few years away. I'm trying to get going again and am a bit lost on what I should be doing in Abyssea.
So far I've gone to Port Jeuno - gotten a stone - gone to a maw - entered - gone back to Jeuno for another cutscene, then gone around to all the maws for each of their cutscenes to unlock teleport service from Horst, as a bonus I got the 50 cruor from the Tahrongi cs.

The question is.. what should I try and do next? Is there a nice guide somewheres that lays out the important stuff to spend cruor on when first starting to make hunting in abyssea easier? the wiki's have a lot of info but it's not really laid out in a simple way that suggests.. do this then save up for that etc.

The best thing I could tell you to do to start with is to go do something else. Let your stones accumulate, to start with you get a new stone every 20 hours, and they are worth 30 minutes of time in Abyssea.

After you get four of them, trade them to a Conflux Surveyor inside any Abyssea zone to get your visitant status. You can only get up to 120 minutes from him. Then, go do something else. Let your stones accumulate again. At any point here, you can flag up for a party. Your 120 minutes will get saved, and you can build up time during the party with Time Extensions.

After your first party, you will have collected some cruor. You can use this to buy maps of the zones, as well as enhancement effects. Also, cruor can be used to unlock Confluxes in each zone, to make travel easier.

The most important thing to do is to get stone production started. That way you will continue to accumulate stones even if you don't do anything else for a few days or weeks. For everything else, there's the wiki.
