Hopefully Returning

All of a sudden I wanted to play this game again, I started missing it. I had a few questions about returning though. Is the subscription price the same? $12.95(or something like that?) I also wanted to know how is the player base still? I mean I could go to FFXIV(Can't because of graphics) which I'm sure has more people? I'm hoping my old Linkshell on Bahamut is still there. Oh, and does anyone know if this Abyssea bundle thing from gamestop comes in seperate codes? and would it be cheaper to buy it seperately? I have all the games WotG and before.

Subscription price has not changed.

Some servers have merged, but there is still a good population on each server. There have been a number of returnees to FFXI of late.

And I believe it's one code. It would make the most sense to buy the $20 bundle, because you get a pretty awesome in-game hat.

Ah thanks alot. Now another question. Should I still have my character from 2-3 years ago? If not, then all my stuff is gone, right? If that's the case, I might as well go and buy that Abyssea bundle. Though I'm not going to like losing all my stuff and starting over. >.>;

It's probably still there. SE used to say they deleted them, but that doesn't really seem to be the case. Worth a shot to check.

Well, my biggest problem is I'll have to pay double the subscription fee since I guess I didn't cancel my Content ID. And I now have an even bigger problem. -.- My credit card doesn't work with this 3-D secure thing. Is there anything I can do about it?
