Old Player returns after 2 years

Okay it has been 2 years since I have played Final Fantasy XI. I finally decided to return. Fortunately despite having spent the past two years without access to an active account I was able to retrieve my PlayOnline ID and my Content ID complete with the last Character I had and reactivate it :D

I am now trying to reacquaint myself with the game complete with the macro system and all the new changes that have occured. However it is slow progress.

One thing I noticed right off the bat when I first logged on was that all three of my linkshells have died off. I am now without access to a linkshell. I am a level 65 Summoner (I think I have finished the 65 - 70 Maat Quest. I also have a level 53 Dragoon.

The Support Jobs I have are Level's 37 White Mage, 32 Warrior, 40 Black Mage, 31 Thief, 23 Samurai, and 34 Paladin (which I may take as a main job)...

I am kind of interested in joining a high level LS as well as a social LS if possible. Possibly one that does both things. The server I am on is Titan. My in game name is "Cledwin" hope to talk to someone soon.

EDIT: I think I found a social LS, still looking for a high level LS though...

There should be forums specific to the realm you are reactivating your characters on. Go and ask there and see if people will hook you up with an LS or two.

A bit late, but Taskmage decided to bury the server specific forums.

I believe his response to my inquiry was that people who post World specific topics would already have the info in his/her signature. (Which, obviously didn't happen in this thread, but the OP did mention which World in his post.)

I can see why they'd get rid of the forums ... attendance was pretty low even at it's prime. Most people head over to KI anyway for server specific (gossip) news and searching for LS.

I doubt it... KI's Ifrit forum has so far just six threads for Ifrit in 2010--not exactly a high traffic area.

FFXIAH's Ifrit forum easily has 3-4 times the number of threads in 2010.
