Hmmmm,

well apparently somehow my account got associated with RMT though I have not engaged in those activities. >< well i'll see what happens. hopefully i can get this all sorted out with pol and figure out what is going on with this.though if they keep my account locked out then. I will likely be competely done with FFXI and for that matter done with Square Enix and it's products.

If you have 90-something Alchemy without a single job above 60 I think I know why you may have been booted for RMT activities

you'll notice that thf is the highest job i have so what was i supposed to do with my down time from no pt invites. I have never felt comfortable being pt leader and organizing a pt so i farmed. and used those items to skill up alch so i could fund my equips for thf. Believe what you like apparently my word isn't worth anything.

you just have to submit a GM ticket, or wait for them to check your account. it was flagged for RMT, because of its activities, if your not RMT, then you have nothing to worry about.

Kind if silly to say things like "I might be done with FFXI and Square Enix in general" because they are just doing their job.

Everyone gets those man.. Listen unless it says GM and not a name do not go to the site... once you put you info in they steal all your stuff in your account. I spoke to playonline or SE about it. They set up a fake site once there you put your logon info in and they steal your account stuff. Call playonline and tell them what happen they will reset your password for you and if you are like me all most everything you had worth anything they have already stolen from you...

I don't think this applies since he is locked out of his account and not some random person pretending to be a GM or a real GM accusing him of being RMT.

Also a Gm will rarely contact you ingame unless you've requested them via helpdesk or are genuinely up to no good.

If all you got was a /t from a "GM" you should of reported it to the Gm's so they could investigate.
If you can't access your account it's probably a temporary ban. usually a pop up message like you get after billing.
But if you got a /t then went to a website and now cannot acces your account you've probably been hacked well not so much hacked but fooled.
We'd need a more accurate description of what happened before we can provide accurate advice for the situation.

That is true so we do need more information on what happen to advise you correctly but when in doubt call them and ask them directly... Then you will actually know...

I submitted a ticket to customer service since I cannot log in. Think I am going to have to get on chat and see if they can help me tonight and see what the deal with my account is.

I hope it hasn't been stolen and is just a case of mistaken or overcautious task force team activities. But I know I am not happy I was about half done raising my first chocobo >< now i get to start that all over, well if I can get back on to my account ever if not. I really don't feel like starting this game all over from the beginning again.

Well I will let you all know what I find out tonight from CS chat.

I got the tell from someone with gm either at the begining or the end of their name i did not however go to the website indicated. But I have been locked out I get a nessage about my login is incorrect or my account is not active or my one time password is incorrect. like i stated above though i will be talking to them on chat tonight or calling them and getting this resolved hopefully.

I recommend calling. I had to call SE the other day about my token and the wait time was maybe 3 minutes. Usually I'd be on the phone for 15-25 mins before getting somebody. Be sure to have as much information availiable as you can including Playonline/Square Enix ID, Credit Card Number, registration codes, etc.

I had my codes all ready when I called the other day and all they asked me for were my Phone number, POL ID, SE ID, email address connected to my accounts, name, and address. I was shocked that they didn't ask for my credit card numbers.

Well if you didn't go to the site it sounds like genuine intervention on SE's part.
Can you think of anything that could of caused your account to be flagged?

Does anybody know if gardeners are still being banned? I've not seen anything in a while but I'm still petrified to plant a seed of any sort. Even though I only have my main character and 2 mules I stopped gardening out of the fear of flagging the system and losing the only mmo I play at the moment.

I was growing wildgrass seeds for stuff to NPC's with high fame all products sent to my main and sold on that Id. I've never read that you can't use npc's as a source of gil. But I was growing 30 plants each time allthough I used some of the results for my chocobo too.
But ever since there was the mass bannings involving gardners I've not planted a thing.

So as I was aking earlier lol
Is it safe to grow stuff now?

If he was banned, he would be able to put the correct password and and he'd get the LM-17 screen.

If it says that the username/password are incorrect, then you probably got hacked. There is a big difference. From what I'm reading, he said that he put in his password but couldn't get into his account because the password was incorrect. This is not a ban. SE doesn't change/invalidate your password when you get banned. You finish logging in and that screen pops up and you click" Log Out," and it logs you back out.
