Thinking about returning to FFXI...however...

There's a caveat. The last few times I came back to FFXI, I had trouble making any real progress on the stories, or my character. I'm on the Queztalcoatl server.

I'm a Mithra DRK/WAR, and I think I'm around 35-40...not sure, I'll have to check. I have NEVER reached level 70 after my first time with FFXI four years ago. So, I'm not sure if I want to come back, if I don't have access to parties that will look past the fact that I'm a DRK/WAR. I want to be able to get to level 70.

I want to finish Rise of the Zilart, Chains of Promathia, Aht Urghan, and the Wings of the Goddess.

Am I going to have the support network I need to be able to complete all of this, or am I simply going to be hung out to dry again like before?

You act like other people have to sit by and let it slide that you dont have the appropriate subs for your job. If you dont have /nin or /sam then you're SOL really. A drk/war in colibri parties will be too much of an MP sponge to be worth keeping or to help keep chains running. I'm on quetz as well, so I know this to be true. Now, as far as PT invites go, theyre almost non-existant unless you make your own. You can also solo by doing Fields of Valor pages (kill X amount of a specific monster(s)) and you get and exp bonus as well as some gil. If you come back, hit me up, I can get you a pearl to a decent social (mostly late nighters though) and if I'm not busy, I'm always down to duo with people.

It depends on the connections you have. I hear a lot of complaints from other players about not being able to find groups for missions. I can only speak for my own linkshell, which is awesome. If you jumped ship to Lakshmi I'd be happy to help you out with all that.

By the way, there's generally no point in posting the same thread in multiple forums. People browse using the "New Posts" button and see everything, and our server forums are defunct anyway.

I only can afford reactivating a content ID, not a server transfer. So jumping to Lakshmi is kind of really out there, but I *am* open to it, if I manage to get some money into my pockets. Currently updating FFXI now on POL.

I wont be on till sunday, since fri and sat are my party nights. Look for a shell called Katsusatsu, either Kelga, Balinorix, or Clynton, theyre leaders in the shell, tell them Hexx sent ya, they should be happy to hook you up with a pearl. Another "decent" shell is TheArtofWar, they can be somewhat helpful, altho the leader is a pretty big tool (when he's on).

If you go with TAoW, dont tell them I sent you though, had a huge falling out with the leader, but the rest of the shell is alright.

Edit: Also hit up www.qcdn.org/ffxi thats the server forum, should help you find people who wanna PT or do other random shit. peace
