Returning player looking for a home

Decided to try out FFXI again, but this time on xbox360. After staying up to 2am fighting with technical issues (grrr, why doesnt ffxi use upnp to open the ports it needs, I finally gave up and pluged modem directly into xbox to get the update to finish), Its time to pick a server.

After the 4 hour update I logged in this morning and created a character on Siren. Fought some monsters but couldnt remember how to heal. Looked through the manual but didnt find the answer there. I spent the next hour running around town and trying to ask people how to heal. Most people just run by and wont stop. Finally someone answered. "RTFM" Frustrated I gave up on asking people and went back to combing the manual. I eventually found a note in the manual about how to heal.

Anyways, does anyone recommend a server that has a bit more welcoming community? Maybe Siren isnt for me. Or maybe I just had bad luck, but I thought I would come and see if anyone had any recommendations. Not looking for money or free items. Just friendly people to play with.

if you are an EU player you might wanna come to Remora as there are plenty EU players there. I also host a social linkshell as well and we always welcome people to it. There are many US and Japanese players as well, just if you're an EU player, there are more people to talk to and party with
