questions, havent played in a while.

It's been a while since I've played. I quit a few months after ToAU.
I,m back now and just really dont know what to do... I'm working on locking Wings but i just am totally clueless about all the things that have changed in the game.
I have Bastok and Winderst Dynamis unlocked but that's it. Can anyone explain how things have changed? Do I need to unlock things to join the newer instances type stuff?
I'd like to take part in some of the stuff, but its even not the most easy to find out about now that its old news lol.
I dont even really understand how the Wings stuff works. Every place I go is pretty empty now.

Any help would be great.
