dunes + yuhtunga?

i remember 3-4 years ago those were the 2 areas i hated leveling, mainly because LFG for 3-4 hours wasn't exactly "playing the game"

valor and sync are out now, have these new features improved lvling? mind you i did hit lvl 60 before i quit but my main problem was leveling other jobs.

i guess my question would be, how long does it take to find groups in the dunes + yuhtunga these days? on normal servers anyway, not Odin/Bahamut. (pref Seraph)

There's been alot of changes that helps lvling now

1) Having your own NPC buddy to duo

2) Increased exp from decents

3) DNC as a SJ or main job to duo with

4) Fields of Valor for an extra exp bonus

5) Rings which give bonus exp

6) Level Sync allows you to invite players in a wider range. This doesn't mean they'll join though >.>

7) Changes to Signet that allows for higher hHP and more exp in smaller PTs

My question to you is "How often are you willing to start the PT". If it is yes you'll get groups fast. If it's no they you may be in for a wait. Just keep in mind all these features are meant to speed up partying. It's not going to magically get you a PT. You still have to put some effort into it

Level sync means you can stay in the dunes for your entire career now.

I solo'd to 30 fairly quick recently. The changes to the system are absolutely phenomenal compared to 4-5 years ago, imo. I wasn't leveling any jobs from scratch for a long time because of the chore of the lower levels but after this current one, I will be opening up more jobs on my alts and leveling them now.

2) Increased exp from decents

EXP was increased for Easy Prey as well. They were already the ideal targets before, but now even more so.

4) Fields of Valor for an extra exp bonus

You can buy temporary Regen/Refresh effects with Fields of Valor, too. For those that don't have /DNC yet, the Refresh makes the old-school /WHM sub job much better.

7) Changes to Signet that allows for higher hHP and more exp in smaller PTs

Signet also improves your Defense and Evasion against the one mob you're engaging if it's Decent Challenge or less. That's also a big plus.
