hello everybody! FFXI was my first MMO. I really loved it at the time and i was playing because my girlfriend at the time also liked to play. we broke up and i didnt really play anymore so i picked up WoW. Well, now i am so done with that haha and i want to return to my roots. but i wanted to know is it worth it to restart now? or will i just be forever left in the dust.

Define "worth it." What do you want out of the game? What's important, what isn't? What are you worried about? Where do you draw the line between "fun" and "not fun?"

Well depending on how long ago you last played they have most likely added a lot of stuff you will be unfamiliar with. Things such as Fields of Valor, EXP changes, Campaign etc etc which make leveling a lot easier and so restarting would probably not be as tiresome as it first was.
