    New player...well kinda returning

    Hi Guys,


    Well I say new player, I had a Level 35 Warrior back in 2003 when the game was released in the US but I haven't played in years and that character is long gone.


    Anyways, after playing various MMORPGs over the past few years including WoW, EvE and recently Warhammer none of them had the japanese and FF feel of FFXI which I really missed. I'm back to play and I'm quite excited as there has been tons of updatessince ive played so lots of new things to look forward too!

    I'm looking for a server with a strong community and balenced population and I really wanna get my self into a linkshell of players.


    Anyone able to help?

    any server will fit your needs, all of them are pretty much the same, Odin had a voluntary character transfer a week ago, so that one might be a good choice (but don't take my sole opinion on this one)

      Referring people to an over-populated server that SE just had to coerce people to transfer from seems like a great idea.

        instead of commenting to me, how about helping the guy with is question, like I am at least trying to do.

          Just about any server would do. I'd stay off Odin because from something they said at the fest yesterday it sounds like it might still be overcrowded, but I'm sure every world has both it's nice/helpful folks and it's dicks. I can vouch for Valefor and Carbuncle on that .

          The only thing I would let influence your choice? If you have any friends that play- I'd hop on their world. Otherwise just let the system pick a random one and once you start to party start to talk to the more helpful people in your parties and /befriend those folks.

                    Since you're a Warrior, please do yourself a favor: get yourself a Great Axe the second you hit level 5. I could tell you how awesome Shield Break is, but that's usually left to Armando.
