  • returning player with some questions

I've played FFXI since 2006 and i forgot my Playonline account ID and lost my password too because my xbox360 broke.

    Anways i have some questions:
    1. What server has the most population?
    2. Is FFXI PC version have the same graphics as the 360 version?
    3. If they are different which version is better?
    4. Has anything changed lately like more monsters?
    5. Hows the economy now?

Re: returning player with some questions

    1. Odin, but they're looking to boot people off (it's your choice). Don't be too concerned. Popular does not mean you should get on there.
    2. Depends, you can tweak the PC one to look quite good.
    3. N/A, purely preference. I don't care personally.
    4. Expansion added a few newer monsters but nothing out of the ordinary except a dress/colour change
    5. It's fine, somewhat

Re: returning player with some questions

      1. See 5000 other threads asking this question.
      2. All versions use the same models/textures/etc. The only differences are resolution (PC can win this one) and draw distance (360 wins this unless you get illegal 3rd-party software for the PC version).
      3. Depends on your preferences. Hook up a keyboard to a console or a gamepad to the PC and the differences are all cosmetic.
      4. New expansion, new jobs, higher XP off Easy Prey and Decent Challenge mobs, Level Sync... An update's about to hit, too, and we don't know what all is included in that yet.
      5. Better than you remember it.

There is no rush. If you're not willing to take your time, don't be surprised when no one wants to give you much of theirs.
