Considering a return, need some advice

I started with US launch but I quit back in December of '04 for a variety of reasons. Been seriously thinking about coming back to the game, I have even gone so far as to purchase a new copy of the game when SE told me that there was no chance of recovering my old characters.

I know that a lot has changed in the game since then and that just excites me more. The one reservation about coming back I have is choosing a server. Can anyone give me some advice and possibly be willing to lend a hand to a returning vet?

There isn't much difference among the servers, and unless you have a friend already playing, I'd suggest trying to be as random as you can.
