ok since i have returned i need a lil help

so far its all good levelin going smoothly...kinda but anyway its macros now
i can do the simple one like cure but i wanna have one to cast dia at the enemy an have a phrase underneath (aswell for cure) how do i do this
also i remember one for when a character reachers a certain level in health i will auto cast cure how do i do that aswell

You don't want macro text for simple things like casting Cure. That will annoy the living hell out of any party you join. The auto-heal you're talking about is likely the Auto-regen trait obtained at level 25 White Mage. Basically, if you have HP missing, it will automatically restore 1 HP every 3 seconds or so.

The only text thats considered acceptable is pulling macros to let the PT know your about to pull a monster to them, or weapon skill macros to let black mages know what weaponskill is being used, as alot of mages filter out text that does not directly pretain to their job. So if your a thf pulling your macro might look like:
/p Fishing <t> be Ready! <call20>

Don't maco flavor text... less scrolling on your combat log the better, especially as the WHM you should hate it the most, cause you have to be watching for status effect abillities used by the Mob, so you can remove them quickly. Its easy to miss when the brd buffs the PT, and 4 buffs scroll, + your heal + your flavor text. =) GL

It's a rite of passage we all go through at one point, I think. I used to have SMN macros ... good thing by the time I actually xp'ed on Summoner, I got tired of them and removed them.

Yeah, some flavor text can lighten the mood. AT TIMES! Then it's just plain annoying. Then you have the useful ones; me being DRG, I love using Super Jump. The first few times I used it, I had no macro for it. The WAR in my party actually went "Stupid DRG keeps disconnecting! Disband her! (him)" while I was up in the air for the first few seconds.

Now I make sure to SAY I'm using it. Also...

SMN: "I call upon to the astral fields; the mighty water serpent, Guardian and God of the Sea, {Leviathan}! Drown my enemies into the abyss!"/ "{Thank you} greatly for your assistance. {Dismiss} and rest, mighty astral being."

And wasn't the /equip command changed so you had to include the slot for the item as well? If so then in the above post, /equip "Apollo's Staff" should be /equip main "Apollo's Staff" or something like that, I can't remember if the slot is before or after the item.

I think flavor text on your two hours and things like protect are fine because you don't have to cast them often and they last for a while so you won't be filling your chat log with stuff every 5 seconds. I'm an FFT fan so I put "A shield to repel all blades! Protect!" when I cast protectra on the party. I also put some text on my two hour. It lets the party know I'm about to use it and adds some RP flavor as well.

Cure is another story completely. Eventually you'll come to a point where you'll be throwing cures left and right and the monsters are scoring crazy crits and all people will see in there chat logs is "Healing light of the goddess, save our souls and give us life and beauty blah blah blah" and they get lost and confused at what's happening.
