  • Returning is not so easy.

Trying to contact PlayOnline support is almost impossible it seems. I canceled my subscription two years ago and I'm trying to return. Of course my content ID is gone, and I'm trying to get it activated again. The re-activate option doesn't work. And on top of that character restoration is not guaranteed. Atleast I might get the ID back so I don't have to purchase another one. So we'll see what happens.

My question is does anybody else have problems contacting through web chat or phone support? I waited three hours this morning on web chat, while trying to get through on the phone. A repeating message and a busy signal is all I get. Is there a better time to try? It might just be monday. Any help would be nice.

Oh yeah.. The customer support at POL is awful.. I was waiting hours last year in an attempt to recover my deleted Taru.. All I can say is they must perform wipes because I was never able to recover my old character and I'd been on the phone hours..

I hear the online supports worst of all. All I could recommend is calling when the lines only just open.

So when you call the phone support, does it just give you the busy beep. Or does it actually put you through. I wouldnt know as I haven't got through yet. I'll try again tomorrow I guess.

Sorry for the stupid question but I'm not sure. It's almost like going to the DMV. A pain in the grass.

I get an options menu then I'm put through to some damn annoying in-game music. Bare in mind the phone lines may be down today due to this uber-sized update.

Re: Returning is not so easy.

I did some more research on what I can do to get back into the game. Pretty much I had an issue with a dog and he tore up my manual, the last page with the codes is long gone. And basically here are my options.

Buy a registration code. (This would work except if you read the fine print, it literally tells you you are screwed). "The ability to purchase a registration code for an expansion pack is only available to an account holder that has not yet registered that expansion pack."

Buy a 2008 Vana'diel collection. (My ps2 wont read discs) So this is out.

Get a buddy pass. (any help would be appreciated).

Square sure make it hard to get back into this game. It is almost not worth it. If they want to keep customers the company should research what other games do in these situations (not to be named). Obviously deleting characters and content ID's after inactivity is not smart business, especially if people want to return.

So to sum it all up I need a buddy pass to get back in the game. I already put a request in the buddy pass section.
