Yeah it works wonderfully. I *think* you can use a Six-Axis for it too (I use mine for my emulators) but it's a bitch getting it to work.

Also, Ifrit forgot to mention that you can also get a Food bonus from Sanction that more or less doubles the duration of any food you eat.

I didn't forget--it's just that it's not very helpful for soloing, since MP refresh or even HP regen would be a lot more useful.

Heck, when I solo, I don't usually even bother with food unless it's something really cheap like grilled hare, ginger cookies, or meat jerky.

Depends what you're soloing and why though.


When I soloed DRG in the 30's in Yhoator Jungle I had Juicy Mutton which gave me the attack boost I needed to land chain 3 on yhoator mandragora (this was before 2 handed update too)

As for a controller I ahve a cheap $5 adapter for PS1/2 controllers. It even supports rumble. Its a no name brand and I've had it for years. Shouldn't be too hard to find an adapter on the internet for cheap.

My LS mates play for hours and I join in on occassion, but I mainly solo due
to only getting an hour or 2 at at time. I've solo'd the following jobs:bst 55- that was easy,Blue 41,war36,pld 35,Rmg 35, thf 31, rgr 17,Nin 16, Sam 12 Smn 8.
I've spent zero time looking for parties, I'd rather level and farm at the same time.
Solo is easy compared to a few years ago. You need to pick your spots and know your limitations, but I'd rather get 2k exp and 2 stacks of crystals in an hour than set around and do nothing.

Especially considering that the number of players dwindles every day.

I haven't played since about September of last year, and even then it was only for about a week. I haven't played seriously in probably 2 years.

Players dwindling? Where? On weekends you can't do anything on Bahamut because of the frelling lag - 4.7k people online at once REALLY slows you down.

Heh. Ginger Cookie has Plantoid Killer, which intimidated Tough mandies quite often for my DRK when I was soloing them.

Anyway, unless ToAU has mandies, the discussion on usefulness of Sanction bonus when fighting mandies is kinda useless... I still maintain MP refresh is the best bonus, when using any job or support job with MP.
