Technically Returning... Characters gone o.O

First of all, I would like to say that when I tried to access my characters, I am able to make new ones and access the game itself, which means that I have been paying monthly since I went on hiatus.

I had three character slots. My main, a mule, and an alt I never played on.

The alt is still there, but my other two characters have disappeared...

My account wasn't banned, as I never used any cheats or did any RTMs, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what the problem could be.

I was on the web-chat, trying to get to someone for two hours, but no luck there.

That's strange. How long have you been inactive?

Also, just because you can log in and make new characters does NOT mean anything; did you cancel your Content IDs prior to leaving? If you did, you likely did not get charged, but it's also possible that your characters have since been deleted.

I should know; I went inactive for about 4 months but didn't cancel anything, and continued paying for my account. When I came back my mules and main character were still accessible; one of my mules I hadn't logged into in over 6 months, but was fine after I logged in.

I didn't cancel my IDs because I WANTED to keep paying in order to keep my characters alive...

I am going to call them and ask if I can get a character retrieval. According to their Q&A you can have it done once per POL account...

This is odd... I didn't cancel any of my IDs, yet two are missing and one is still there...
