Coming back! Best server?

Hey all! I played FFXI for the first 2 years it was, then took off some time, then came back for about 6 months or so. I havnt played in over a year, but im thinking of coming back. Whats the best english speaking server out there now? I used to be on Carbuncle but I might want to change servers.

The best server is the one where all your friends are... if you don't have a bunch a friends on a server then just pick any of them and make some! Then that will be the best server ^^

I would say that Alexander is the best server but that is because I am following this logic.

I'd have to agree. ^^ If you knew folk on Carbuncle maybe you stand a chance of them still being around.

Midgardsormr is the best server!!!! LOL. If you don't have any friends on a specific server just pick out some of your friends on here and find out what server they are on and get a world pass for that one. I'll get you a world pass if you would like one for Midgardsormr, just let me know.

i was once in alexander.hope that all my friends are still there when i finish FF12.

If you had friends on Carbuncle, it might be worthwhile to see if they're still around. Connections are good to have.

But if they're not still there, I see no reason not to start anew on another server.

I used to be on Caitsith, then migrated to Diabolos... Diabolos is by far better than Caitsith in my opinion.

Here's a scenario: If you can't get a world pass from any of your friends on Carbuncle, then you may not actually have friends there anymore... If that is the case, might as well as play roulette, and land on a random server?
