Honestly, you should just come back and give it a try. If you don't have all the gear and gil in the world right away it doesn't mean you can't work towards that and get the stuff you need to do your job.

Ah ok, I wasn't sure if the return to Vana stuff was only about deleted chars or also aplied to accounts with more than 3 months of being cancelled.

But I don't think that'll be a problem in this case.


By the way don't let gil get in the way of your fun, I mean is good to farm to buy stuff but nothing worth stressing about.

Heh.... Easy to stress when I won't even be able to afford the trip back to SanD from Jeuno....
I don't even know how I would go about getting the gil back....
My chars a naked lv 56 SMN lol not exactly the best start is it?
Only thing I know is TeleTaxi I know I have all of them.
Maybe I can kill some easyish stuff and rake up some Conquest Points and buy items like the robes etc and sell them on....
any ideas?

Since you are in Jeuno already you can slaughter some Giants and get a couple of thousands for traveling and stuff, then you can start by farming spiderwebs or something easy like that or doing some HELM while you get some gear back.

It'll take some time but not too much.

You can also solo a low level job and get some seals for BC fights. (SMN can solo Shooting Fish so you might want to give it a try when you get some seals )

There are many things you can do to get back on your feet, just gotta be a little patient while things pick up.

Edit > Although for quick gil Teletaxi might work better depending on how the competition is.

A naked SMN is a lot better off than a lot of other jobs naked. You can probably solo any monster up to level 30-35 just by sending Carby to kick its ass, which opens up a lot of farming prospects. If you're really starting with nothing then what you have a lot of is inventory space, so you might want to go for scorpions - they can drop about 2-3k worth of stuff *per kill* with no TH. (Non stackable though, so if you don't have mules it may take a while for AH to sell it all.)

You can also farm your own seeds (kill saplings in Tahrongi, La Theine or Konschtat) and garden. Rice is always profitable and there are usually some other good prospects too. While you're in those areas, it may be profitable to kill bees for beehive chips - you can either make them into wax yourself, or just sell stacks of chips.

Once you have some gear (even cheap gear) your range of potential targets will open up even more and you can go for malboro vines, tiger fangs, or any other item you feel like farming. There are a few materials for NM pop items that sell for pretty good amounts, but some of those are non-AHable and can take time to find buyers.

SMN might be particularly good against Uragnites since you can stand out of range of their poison attack and only the avatar will get poisoned. Their drop rate is low but the shells are pretty valuable when you get them.

Luckly I have all the teleports on my WHM so I can just do some Taxis apprently they can be a pain to find so if I supply them then ppl will come haha.
