buddy code question

will a buddy code allow me to establish a normal acct. ? I already have the game on my ps2 hardrive. I intend to buy cop and treasures soon, but do not want to have to purchase a new ffXi game if I don't have to. when I spoke to pol they informed me that my char could not be recov'd and I would need to get a buddy code or repurchase the game. If I can establish a regular acct. from a buddy code I'll post a request. please advise. sorry for the number of posts today, but its a slow day at work

A Buddy Pass would only be good for 30 days. If you want to play longer than that, you need a full account.

You'll need to purchase all of the expansions (RoZ, CoP, ToAU) in order to keep playing, but otherwise, you can.

yes, you can establish a regular account after the 30 days are up with the buddy pass. you just need to 1) keep paying 2) buy all the expansions

roz was included with my game..... i think ( ive mined ifrit's and been to kaz and altepa).

also i am making the switch from console to pc in about 3mos. any sugesstions tips warnings? please don't tell me to wait. I can't wait to play again.

No suggestions tips or warnings here. But you'll have to purchase the software for your PC.

yes, but the RoZ reg codes were tied to your old account. your new buddy pass account won't have those and you can't reuse them... hence you have to purchase all the expansions again.
