so i just re-subscribed and i was wondering if i sould go out right away and get CoP and AU...right now i have zilart and thats it. dont know if there are some kickass newb areas in those other expansions or what so ....? =)

You won't really need Treasures of Aht Urghan until later on in the game. The earliest most people party there is the mid-50s, but if you just want access to the city of Whitegate and Al Zhabi, then you can easily get there as early as 30 if you don't have anyone to help you with the quest (by that point you shouldn't have much trouble soloing the Subjob item mobs).
CoP also doesn't really have any newbie areas, with the exception of maybe Carpenter's Landing. There are some good mobs for exping on in the mid-teens, but most parties still just go to Valkurm Dunes, so good luck with that.
Still, the new Platinum Collection 2007 has all expansions for a ridiculously cheap price. If you're a PC player, you'd probably do well to just buy a copy of that and use the registration codes for the expansions. You may be hard pressed to find copies of Chains of Promathia in stores these days, but you should be able to still find copies of Treasures of Aht Urghan.
