I know this is kind of old... But i've have also returned after the WoW era..... Yup WoW took over for me for the psat 2 years. Even though i loved FFXI, WoW had more of my family play on it, so i said, why not join them for a couple of weeks, its not like its better than FFXI, because FFXI is like OWNAGE!
Then it happened..... I got sucked in.... playing a mage and all that goody, and the simplistic controls...... it was all soo easy, the community was great, but what i didnt feel was the storyline... there was no storyline and once you reach 60, and if your Guild (or in FFXI, LS) doesn't do any end-game raiding, your basically stuck with crappy gear, which after u equip, cannot sell or give (cannot believe how angry i was >:|)
The constant raiding and whining from lowbies for 60s to plvl them gets boring.
In FFXI, i didn't see that, since everyone could change jobs and lvl with u, which in reality is SOOO GREAT! The people and community are so nice, in my view, but in other ppl's view, the japanese people are mean. I've never met a JPN person that was mean to me.
Well.. now that u heard my reason for leaving FFXI, here is my reason to rejoin! yay!
I'm rejoining becuase i missed the complex and fruitfull story line FFXI had. The hardcore people just like me out there reaching for the same goal, Owning everyone (i think thats whats their thinking...)
If anyone wants to join me, in my rejoining of FFXI, please!!! send me an IM from AIM, playrice4price. I'm on the server Gilgamesh, and i'm a MNK, easy grinding and soloing... I hope to have fun and be a hardcore gamer again. Goodluck to me and to you guys who read this.
