Reactivation woes

So I'm very interested in ffxi again. I'd like to bring back my character...I really can't go through the entire game again. I had fenrir ><. Anyway my account is still around according to the people on the phone. The issue is I don't remember my Play online I'D. I can verify everything they need, including reg codes and credit card but my DOB isn't working with them! Not only this but the operators are very rude and patronizing. This guy told me to hang up and put my "thinking cap on" probably twice.

Is dob really that needed and why isn't mine working. Is there a way I can just get the pol I'd from them? I remember my pass. Any similar experiences?

um, honestly, DOB is pretty freaking hard to get wrong unless you willfully gave a wrong DOB when you registered.

however, the answer to your question is no. the only way to get your POL ID is by calling SE and verifying the information they require. if you still have your game installed on a PC though, the POL id is written right on the log-in screen (tiny characters on top right of your username).

I agree. I never expexcted that the DOB would give me issues, I have no idea why it isn't working. And nope, my playonline has been unsinstalled since I've quit. It has been a long while since I've played.

If you registered with a parents credit card you may have put their DOB.

I have to start all over too.. I'm still waiting on the software to get to my house. x]
It'll be fun... because I'm just dying to play again. And if we end on on the same servers, and we start over; maybe we can pt or something. ((Hopefully the name 'Lyl' won't be taken. That's what I used last time, and hope to use this time. ))
