3 months preservation question...

Lets just say, I decided to cancel my account and I have 3 months
to reactivate before its gone. So then at that time when,
say 2 months afterwards, I reactivate it, I play for a month or two,
and decide to cancel it again. Does the same cycle repeat?
As in is it still 3 months after or is it 1 month left due to my last
reactivation during the 2/3 month period?

There is not set date anymore.

If you cancelled your content ID without deleting the characters, it should still be there when you revive your content ID.
Log into POL, go to content ID and choose revive. If the revive option works, your char will still be there. It will let you review which ID to revive and what characters they have.

Hmm, when did they say the 3 months thing isn't happening? As far as I've seen the deal with the 3 months is more of a manual process, when SE decides to backout and remove the accounts over 3 months old is when it happens. Of course carrying if that data is there or removed when it's suppose SE probably wouldn't care unless their server is having space issues which they don't seem to be having.

my gf could revive her content ID after 6 months of cancelling. and I also revived a few IDs for friends who quit for over year, and their chars are still there.

I also had quit for a looong time, and when i came back all my chars were alive.

it's 1 year now. I had a deactivated content id and it went away exactly after one year.

and yes, the moment you reactive the countdown gets set to zero.
