Comming back to FFXI...

Question: How many people are playing FFXI and going to college at the same time? I always found myself addicted to FFXI and would neglect my homework, but at the same time I want to go back...any suggestions?

be very very disciplined... is all i can say.

I limit myself to only PT/EXP on friday and saturday. too much college work. @@;

Other day I just ride ferry all day long waiting for pirates. There are fish only available during pirate ride.
So when pirates aren't attacking (which is 99% of the time...) I just leave my char there and work on school stuff.

I havent been away for that long... Well I was once, but they had deleted my character a LVL 7 Hume WAR...

Anyway, I think my other character is like a LVL2 RDM so Im not too concerned about loosing him either...

My honest advice would be to give the game up and focus on school.

FFXI is great, but it's more than likely still gonna be there when you're done. Don't sacrifice the best thing for your future for a game. Put all your focus into school.

I'm playing FFXI, going to college, and working full time. I'm doing good in school, I have an A/B average and I play FFXI about 2 hours or so a day. Except on weekends, then I play more.

if you can't control yourself then deleting the game althogether is just a way to force you to
I know, I used to get a couple F's the first year FFXI came out.

Yea I think I might stay away for a while, since I am still in school and working full time but during the summer I will come back since I wont be attending school

I don't find it to be too much of an issue for me. Because of the way I schedule my classes, I have actually have more time to play than I did in High School.

If you schedule you're day appropriately, you can easily fit FFXI into your schedule, still get A's/B's in college, hold a sociol life, and work. Then again, planing out your day around FFXI makes you an "Acute FFXIer" LoL!

I'm usally too focused on writing my book and high school to play FFXI. But I do play ocasionally on the weekends. At that point, I usually stay up until 3am.
