What server and other returning questions..

Just some quick questions, I'm a returning player that had a 42 RDM/30 WHM on Garuda when I quit. Just some quick questions for you fine folks..

1. I hear the economy stinks even worse than before, any servers where its not as bad as others? Also, which are the smaller servers?

2. Whats gil-making like? I always seemed to be poor when I played, is NM-hunting still the only good way to make money?

3. What classes have been nerfed/made better? Any recommendations on what job to be?

4. Is it really worth the long grind? Can I reactivate my RDM?

5. Anything else?

Thanks in advance, any info the players can give me will go a long way in my decision on whether or not I wanna return or not

1. Dunno.

2. Its the same. NM camping is only one of several ways to make money. People see the big numbers drops from NMs pull in an they thing thats the only good way to go, when in truth you'd make just as much farming silk or leather in the same amount of time you spent standing around waiting for a NM to pop (also note the drops from NMs are not garunteed).

3. Play them all.

4. Worth it? Depends on who you talk to.

Can you reactivate your account? S'possible, though you'd have to take to POL customer support.

Heh, RNG was said to be NERFED but I still see poeple doing well on it. SMN has been given a new avatar (and more soon to come) aswell as alot of new items and a Long BC. DRG had there 2 hour changed. Now you can call your pet every 20mins and the 2 hour eats your pet and gives it's stats to you. No other jobs have had much change.

And as far as makeing gil, Farming is still the best option. If your worried about cash you might look into your first job being a less cost heavy job. Like SMN or WHM. You can take them to 70 without a load of gils pretty easy.

First I suggest you try to reclaim your rdm. I was gone a long time (I played a rdm to about 20 a long time ago and then quit, and returned recently) and my rdm was still there. If you have trouble reactivating your old content ID in the menu, call customer service.

rdm/whm is a very effective combination. Since you've already got refresh you will be getting party invites very frequently, so it will be easy for you to make it up to the top. Also, since you're already past 30 you can experiment with whatever advanced jobs you like.

If you can't remake your rdm I suggest creating a whm to get to 18, then doing your subjob quest and picking whatever job interests you in terms of role in a party.

Also, there's an expansion coming up in April (if you havn't noticed) that will have two new jobs: Blue Mage, which steals skills and spells from enemies to use, and Corsair, which is like a gambling, pirate thing witha gun that I don't understand completely.

1. Ok, here's the deal with the economy. Over the Christmas break, the gilsellers/buyers ran rampant and everything became reaaaaaaly inflated, like you woudn't believe. People were quitting and it was a big problem for awhile. However, the prices have begun settling down, so inflation isn't as big a problem as it used to be. As for small server, Seraph is definately one of them.

2. All depends on your preference, man. Crafting is expensive at first, but pays off in the long run. NM hunting is instant gratification (if you don't mind the camping/competition).

3. All i know about the nerfed classes is that the wyvern waiting time has been reduced a great amount for drg. Besides that, I'm not too sure. Play as a blm if you want to change jobs. I hear they're going to make some more changes to spells after the expansion comes out. Hell, you should try a BLU or COR like everyone else LOL.

4. To me, yes it's worth the long grind. This game is amazing, and somethiing as trivial as a grind doesn't bother me at all. As for reactivating your RDM....did you cancel your POL account? Have you still paid for it after you quit? The general rule is that you will lose your account if you start playing 3+ months after you deactivated your account. But, there are the few cases that their characteris still alive, so it wouldn't hurt checking.

5. The expasion pack looks promising. There are going to be new cities/mobs/jobs. You should definately look into it.
