Buddy passes are from people that bought the Collection version of FFXI. There is/was a 30 day free pass in the Collection for a friend. So its rare that anyone has one and I'm not even entirely sure they are included in the newest Collection of FFXI. You can find the game for $10 or slightly more now, so splurge a little and buy it. $10 for a MONTH of entertainment isn't a lot of money!

This is the current collection for PC and 360 and I'm not sure if this had a buddy pass included:

Just bought the ultimate edition, 14 was teasing me, but after hearing how frustrating it was, i started with xi instead

and the buddy passes are still around! i gave mine to my gee eff

what server does most of you guys play on?

ffxi Buddy Pass

I bought the game used and the codes were used by the previous owner and so i was wondering if anyone had a buddy pass id really like to try the game out so any help or advice is appreciated

Hello everyone, I'm a big fan of all Final Fantasy games and I've been wanting to try out Final Fantasy XI. I'm in college and I don't really have any money but every four months I get a refund check (long time to wait for a check haha) but anyways I would appreciate it very much if someone could e-mail me their FFXI free trial code, if you are not planning on using it of course.

I'm planning on buying the game when I get some money but it's going to take two months before I get another check, so I was thinking it would be nice to get a head start on a free trial account.

I hate asking other people for stuff but SE isn't giving out free trial accounts anymore.

Well I managed to come up with $10 to buy FFXI and I had someone go and check wal-mart and also check two different game stop stores, they said none of them sold it (which is strange since the game stop website says they do have it and it's in stock). The only way I could get it would be to order it online I guess, I sure wish I knew someone with a credit card haha. Me and my brother was looking forward to getting to play it today. =(

I wonder how they expect people around here to buy the game when they don't sell it in the stores here. =/

Try out Steam, it was 4,99$ only with all addons - excluding abyssea addons which you will need most likley, since all and everyone is doing it endgame.

And all i can say to you people that think about coming back or starting from scratch - > Do it!

SE just doubled ALL Exp so people start to level subjobs and entire new jobs, it kinda refreshed the old areas a little bit. And the newbie areas as well. There was never a better time to come back.

$10 each, so $30 in total. They're not in any package deal though.

The standard practice is actually periodically bundle everything but the latest expansion (unless it's been out for a long while) for $30; Steam is offering that $30 package for $5. Not really all that lame.

In the past, we have expansions which cost ~$30. For Abyssea, it's broken up into three add-on's costing $10 each--which add up to $30.

In any case, $35 total for FF11 isn't that big of a deal, considering how much monthly fee cost per year; you'd pay $5 more for your first year compared to your second year, assuming no second/storage character.

Well last time I played I had to buy the game 'bout 4 times because my 360 kept breaking the disks, so this isn't a huge deal but still, I would've rathered them have it all in one package.
