  • Old importer problems

Well, I live in New Zealand and I ordered FFXI NA online when it was first released.

I played for over a year then stoped as I got abit bored. Now almost 1 year later Ive started playing again. I reinstalled my old ffxi NA version and reactivated my content ID no prob.

Now my situation. I did not get COP when it first came out but just the other day I saw a deal which had 2 full versions of EU FFXI for the price of one. I got one for a friend and the other for me for the COP expansion.

I tryed installing the EU COP on my NA client and it just threw a error so I uninstalled the NA version and did a fresh install of the EU version. Everything installs fine but when I go to log on I get this message "make sure all the expansion packs are installed and registered" I go to the content ID page and try logging on to register my expansion and I get a message saying "The system doesnt recognize your POL ID blah blah" so I'm guessing that since I have a NA account I cant register the EU COP expansion?

(sorry for the lengthy post and sorry if its in the wrong forum)
~yes but what happens if I run out of ideas I mean if no one can help me and i run out of ideas then what ?~

    Re: Old importer problems

unfortunately, u can't register the EU expansion to the acct u created w/ NA version. in other words, registration codes for the acct and expansions must be of the same region of sales. otherwise it'll just give u an error.

in this case, u either need to buy the NA CoP expansion, or start over again w/ EU version u just purchased. remember, even if u decide to import the NA CoP, u can still sell the EU version as the codes for this one remains unused, while u'll need to convince them that the codes have never been used as it's already opened.
