  • Australian thinking of returning

Hi everyone. Played for 4-5 months, starting about a year ago. Then switched over to WoW like so many others have. Partially it was because my RL friends were playing WoW. Partially it was because I was frustrated sitting for hours on end LFP. Having gotten to end-game content in WoW, I have been finding it somewhat empty and looking fondly on my FFXI CDs.

Not sure if my character will be retrievable, but that is not what concerns me most. I was on Asura, and the highest I got was Rank 3 and RDM39. What concerns me more is if people have good stories about Linkshells that are on during the evenings, Australian time (9am to 12 noon, GMT, if my calculations are right). I can't speak Japanese, so that puts a bit of a limitation on my ability to join parties and linkshells.

So, in the event that I am forced to or choose to create a character on a new server, are there any suitable linkshells that would be willing to give me a trial run?

I know how you feel, playing Guild Wars had the same effect, wile in many ways it was a much more satisfying game, the content ran out very fast, and there wasn't alot of variety or community to get involved in.

I like being able to gain your ideal status in a reasonable amount of time, and being able to play through enough of the game to enjoy it, but I also like some longevity, guess when they make a game that has the best balance all our gaming problems will be solved, then we will have to worry about what we arn't doing with our real lives wile we play "that" game all the time
Learning > Intelligence > Experience. Weak minds are subject to experience before realization. Inteligent minds understand quickly with minimal experience. Learned minds excersise knowledge gained from study, and do not require experience to reach realization. Which is your claim?
