Hello everyone.
A friend and myself have finally, after much debate, decided to return to FFXI. We both played originally at launch but never got into it. Neither of us made it passed level 12 or 14, mostly because we were playing other games at the time. But we're coming back this time for a fair shot at it, getting sick of the other games that have been released lately. We want something with a little more commitment and reward to it.
We're looking for some help getting onto a decent server, when we originally started we rerolled our characters dozens of times to get on the same server since neither of us could fork up the gil for a worldpass. I don't know if they changed that.
We'd also really like to join a nice Linkshell as we get resituated in the game if anyone is recruiting. Somewhere we can ask questions, maybe get some help with quests or missions or just have someone to party with as we learn the game once again. A good guild makes the game a lot more enjoyable, something we failed to get into at launch and probably one of the reasons we didn't stick around.
Whew, I realize this is a lot to ask but I figured if there was anyplace to ask, this would be it. Most of the other FFXI "communities" aren't that friendly these days.
