I left for awhile myself since, i've gotten back i've found a few details, that may help your desicion

1)Yes the Econom is poor, but you can learn to take advantage of it.

2)Groups and XP gain are much easier with rings and what appears to be more english speaking people so the language barrier isn't as noticed, they are also working to improve the translator to help with that.

i'm probably going to stick with it for awhile since the main reason i left was because of lack of groups and that hasn't been a problem since i returned.

So, if you were playing a mnk, sam, ninja for example you'd have no problem farming gil with your 56 whm for the following?

Scorpion Harness - 6 Mil
Ochiudo's Kote - 2 Mil
Haubergeon - 4 Mil
Emperor's Hairpin - 2 Mil
Fuma Kyahan - 1.7 Mil
Elusive Earrings - 2 Mil

Assuming you can farm anything of value when in competition with gilseller alliances who monopolise mobs 24/7.

In just over two months since I posted the above the prices now look like this on Fenrir:

Ochiudo's Kote - 2 Mil :: 9 Mil
Haubergeon - 4 Mil :: 10 Mil
Emperor's Hairpin - 2 Mil :: 5 Mil

Elusive Earrings - 2 Mil :: 4 Mil
