If we don't like something, collectively, if our hatred for it throbs like an abscess beneath every thread, does that mean that they're doing something right?

As hard as it may be, don't take this game or your characters too seriously. I promise you - the guys that really own your account don't.

I think being european you get he best of both worlds >.>
At around 6am to 6pm it's all japanese players and then like 6pm until 6am its mainly NA. The only problem is if you're in an NA linkshell you better be prepared for staying up late.
Although I've never played WoW I don't think I could say I would have played it for 3 years like FFXI and still be a total addict (even though I can't play it much anymore) but ya never know...

I would like to add your last con for WoW to the FFXI con list, honestly, I have had extremely pathetic customer service experiences and SE didn't do jack to address the communities interests the entire time I played.
I had 2 jobs already, I decided the time put into this game wasn't worth it.
Learning > Intelligence > Experience. Weak minds are subject to experience before realization. Inteligent minds understand quickly with minimal experience. Learned minds excersise knowledge gained from study, and do not require experience to reach realization. Which is your claim?

What PiNG said, went back to fine the page with BRP's post to see what caught PiNGs attention. I have to say well done BRP.
Don't forget their is also the "Theif!" option with the boards RPG. Get back more money at the cost of your reputation, and as you can tell BRP has really trashed his reputation. Likely how he got a good chunk of his gil

WoW fanboy's greatest arguement against FFXI is that it takes too long to do anything. Takes too long to get a party, takes too long to do a quest, etc etc.
Why can't it take longer than a month to max yourself out and complete everything? Do you have Cancer? If you do, I'm sorry, but if you don't shut it up and stop to smell the flowers for once. We're not going anywhere anytime soon, the world isn't going to end in a month, so take some time to play something worth the time.
Re: Thinking of quitting WoW for FFXI? Check here.
a lot of us don't like to spend a few hours each day for 5 years playing a game. for me it's 3-5 months max for each mmorpg and even then it's not like i game daily. i just started out on ff11 and i admit i'm a tad nervous about all the stories i've heard of the major timesinks in this game...
Re: Thinking of quitting WoW for FFXI? Check here.
I got too attached to my character in FFXI. It's so strong a feeling no other game can offer me. I felt happier completing my daily guild items than completing my college assignments. Not a good sign but well :-/

Sex is more fun then mmo's. End of discussion.
I could say something sarcastic like "THATS SO FUNNY", but I think I'll just quote it, just so people can see uncreativity and lameless. THATS SO FUNNY.
