Anyway don't forget the latest two new area added, (sisters of Dynamis), Limbus(I don't want to spell the two names lol). They give mulitple towers which you must climb, floor by floor, in a time limit. Each floor has a boss. There was chests that you choose to give you more time, more items, or a full rest/2hr reset. All the monsters drop Ancient Beastmen coins(about 40-60 a run), which can be traded in for lone(and very good) items or used to upgrade your AF.

You have no idea, little man. All I just said was added in the last update and that was just a piece of it. SE updates are amazing, no matter what you say. Just mountains of content, at the very least, enough to last you to the next. Combine that with leveling, HNMing/skying(and other old high level activies that weren't add that month), missions, quests, crafting(including fishing), and ect... there is TOO much to do.

yah man i agree. every now and then i start thinking about all of the stuff mentioned above, and i get overwhelmed. it's taken me a good 3 months to get where i am now and i have yet to experience half of those! but even so, i can't help but feel a little excitement grow in me and start playing the game (being able to explore a little while casually exp'ing helps) anticipating the days when i can go with my linkshell buddies and see what vana diel has to offer.

I played WoW for about 6 months, but I found it was too easy in a lot of ways. At least in FF11 you're forced to learn how to operate in a party, unless you're a BST i guess...

I have played FFXI, WOW and Guild Wars. FFXI vs WOW....WOW gets old after 3+ months.
WOW pros: Quest driven; build 50 characters (10 per server); PvE/PvP/RPG servers; raids can be cool
WOW cons: Lots of immature players and little to no social aspect. Not alot of replay value;
Crafting system isn't very robust...too easy/gets old quick; really no racial differences; horrible lag around auction house (also not as good as FFXI); raids can be annoying

Guild Wars pros: Incredible graphics/engine (hope FFXI pc players get a high res version after 360 launch); henchmen (decent AI); no campers; great quests/great story; high replay value
Guild Wars cons: No moogle house; no personal items (like furniture etc); no crafting system; currently can only play as human; very limited abilities/jobs; lvl capped at 20; no diverse armor sets; can't enter buildings; sometimes very path oriented

I plan to alternate bewteen FFXI and Guild Wars.

you forgot to add in the pro was Guildwars= Free play. till they make a expansion pack to add new zones or story.

I play Guildwars at work when i have some free time XD, till i can get my self a laptop to play FFXI at work hehe

To be fair to GW, the level is capped at 20 because which skills you choose (every player can have around 150, but can only go into battle with 8) is what is supposed to matter, and there's no plans to raise it. I wouldn't call them limited at all. Other than that, a good pro/con list.

For me, GW was kind of an in-between for WoW and FFXI. Playing it made me miss FFXI enough to make me get back in. Way I see it, its a good casual PvP game almost the way an FPS is, and FFXI can be my major MMO. Both great games, only 1 monthly fee

Yeah i can see how GW can be good...i think the major turn off for WoW for me was that its solo and simple for the most part compared to FFXI yet you pay the same fee..=/ GW at least you have no fee.

I think Guild Wars would be an awesome game if it had FFXI's style community. Its a good game, but personally I have recieved the FFXI curse: I can't truly enjoy games if it doesn't have FFXI's community size.

I think if I was in charge of Square I'd try and drop the subscription another 2 bucks to an even 10 to attract the MMO players on a budget and steal customers from blizz... but of course i'm not in charge of square so there ya go...

I'm excited I just started again on Seraph server and really enjoyed playing again. It's good to be back and finding it a welcomed change.

I think even if you leave after awhile you'll find you way back to FFXI.

It would be cool if Square adopted the Guild Wars business model....Sony is looking at doing one.
