Okay, so if I install ffxi on one computer, then delete my account. What if I installed it on another computer, could I rectivate my same character on the different computer?

I don't think you need to delete your character to do that. I'm pretty sure you can just log in with the same character on the other computer, just not at the same time.

Why would you need to delete your account? Nothing is stored on your computer. It's all online.

As others have pointed out, FFXI is tied to your online credentials--you could play your same character, same account across multiple computers/consoles just not at the same time. You do not have to delete your character--and certainly not your account if you want to play FFXI on another machine.
