Ok, I began installing FFXI on my laptop last night so I could play elsewhere than just my xbox. The main game, just FFXI allowed me to choose a destination folder (I have two low storage hard drives and only one has space for it), but the expansions began installing without asking for a folder. I can't figure out how to change it. I tried moving folders from my default drive to the other so it would have space, but honestly I think I made it worse. Now the default drive is full without me having the expansions in. I've put it on before, but I cant get it to work now. If someone could help I'd really appreciate it. By the way, I use the FFXI Ultimate Collection start up disk. I know this sounds really dumb, sorry.

Re: Can't Install to the Right Hard drive
No question is dumb. Better to ask than to feel like an idiot.
Anywho, from my experience, when I installed the game on my laptop, it did the same to me (asked for a folder for the main game, as well as put the expansions there).
Needless to say, I tried moving to another folder, but from what information I gathered, all the files/content must stay on the same drive (ie C:/, D:/) in order for the main game to access those files.
When I did the move, it seems that a copy of the entire game and everything else went with, so I had two folders for FFXI. Before I went to delete one of the folders, someone advised me to check the "Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs" to make sure the game isn't in there twice. Since I had the game in there once, I was able to proceed with deleting the copies FFXI folder.
Not sure if this helps, but I tried
