Returning to FF11 but having UCs 4001 errors. can somoene help me out?

Hi all!!!
I quit FF11 a long time ago and due to the hype of ff14 coming out I am all twitchy so I wanted to revisit vanadiel.
When I played ff11 I quit just about after promathia came out.
I owned FF11 zilart and promathia, have 2 main characters which are very high lvl.

My situation is,
I live in Japan so its hard to find expansion packs without downloading them,
BUT!!! F'n Direct to download and gamestop to not sell copies outside of the US and canada soooooo
after searching for a while I could only find 1 place that would sell it to me over the net.
I had to buy a ultimate collectors edition in order to get the rest of the expansions.

Now, Some of you may know that the ultimate collectors edition only comes with a universal cd key.
I tried to unlock wings of goddess and the treasure expansion but I get a UCs 4001 error when I enter the cd key.

Yes I have made sure of the spelling and case sensitivity.

This is appalling and I do not wish to call FF11 service because they are extremely rude and offer the worst service I have ever see in an mmorpg so far.

Does anybody know how I would be able to activate my expansions without having to restart the whole game?
No way I am gonna play if I am gonna lose my lvl 50's..

The universal key should activate everything at once.
You should only have to enter one code.

I had the original game, cop, rotz only and lost my disks when I moved house. I bought an ultimate collection with toau and wotg and only had to enter one code which activated the expansions I was missing.

Where did you buy the copy from? A reputable source? Could be you've bought a used a game if it wasnt brand new, If that's the case you're screwed. I'm gonna have a google see what I can find.
