downloading expansions for um... free

My sister has ALL of our copies of Wings of the Goddess. She lives far and away. I'm looking for a way to download the Wings stuff and install. Can I do this legally? I have my own legal registration keys so I don't see what the problem would be.

So far, all i've found is the ability to buy the direct2download. But I really don't want to pay for something I already own.

Technically right now in the US, no. But I mean technically in the same vein that technically you can't legally rip a CD you bought to mp3 to play on a MP3 player, the RIAA demands you buy another copy.

Practically, and under more sane readings of copyright law, you shouldn't have a problem. As you pointed out, the registration keys are the real thing you're paying for, and you have that.

Of course, the real problem here is finding a legitimate source that doesn't have something unwanted coming along for the ride.

Highty doubt it, and even if you went the Bittorrent way, I'm sure you know the problems that that could entail with account theft and stuff.

Best way would be to have a friend rip the discs and send them to you...

I suppose it'd be against site ToS to say something like "send me PM if you know where I can get a clean DL. *wink*" My sister will probably just snail mail it to me or something.

chances are the postal service can get you the DVD faster than you could download it anyway; especially if you don't leave your PC on 24/7. USPS gets a lot of shit, but $2-3 can get gigabytes of data across the country in a few days.

oh for the love of god, people are so picky, just go look for Torrents of the ISO images of the disks, and have your sister give you the codes for the registration over the phone or in an email.

People make this stuff way harder then it needs to be.

People laugh, but it's true. You really do get an incredibly high bandwidth with the proverbial station wagon full of eight tracks barreling down the interstate.

IMO i think it will be the movement speed increase or some other type of buff. besides snk/inv they dont have a buff spell and only resently did they get a "buff JA". thats what im betting on anyways.

true I will give it that, the new 09 collection is what? 20 30 bucks? and that is everything up till now.
