    Transmission error with lobby.

    Alright here is my problem. I bought FFXI: Ultmate Collection for the pc before thanksgiving. I installed everything that I needed to from the disk. I let it fully update both playonline viewer, and ffxi. Now when I click play on the ffxi screen it will load up like everything is fine. Shows me the little message that you have the option of either accept or decline. Now right after I hit accept I instantly get 'FFXI error code: 3101 Transmission error with lobby.' So I press enter and it kicks me from ffxi startup and playonline viewer quits working. I tried it again thinking it was just a every now and then sorta error. Nope I kept getting it, so now I was pretty sure it was my grandparent's ISP. I decided I will wait till I get back to my apartment and try it there. Still no luck I get the same error message. My ISP is different than what my grandparent's have.

    Anyways I was just wonder if anyone else gets this error, or has a solution.

    Also I am on Windows 7 not sure if that could be a problem.

    what are your PC specs, need to know alittle about your PC
    CPU?
    Videocard?
    RAM?

      Windows 7 huh?
      I think they had to release a separate version of the PlayOnline viewer for Vista but I don't know if that would work for your situation. You might give it a try though.

        NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GS
        4gbs of RAM

        Also I have played FFXI on this computer before about a year ago, but I was on vista then.

        I tried the playonline viewer for vista/7 but no luck there.

          mmmmm

          well from what other places have said about that error, many point the issue to the video card, could be a driver issue, or something *shrugs* Other then that, sorry I have no clue

            Well, I checked for updates on my driver there were none so I went to the nvidia website and got the most recent one for my card. I unistalled my driver then installed the one I downloaded, still no luck.

            I think I am just going to buy 360 version and play on that till I can get this figured out.

              I'm not very tech minded but have you googled the error to see if your problem has happened to another user before?
              It may have been solved on another forum.
