  • Vana'diel collection 08 PC codes work for PS2 question.

So I hear that registration codes for PC can work on PS2 so my question is: Will the Vana'diel Collection 2008 registration code work with my FFXI game and the first 2 expansions or do I have to get ToAU and WotG installed? OR is it that the code for the Collection only works with the collection itself?

I want to be able to buy the PC version of the collection for the codes and buy used PS2 expansions for the install. In my situation that would be a lot cheaper than fixing up my PC and purchasing the game. Plus I like laying on the bed while partying in Vana'diel.

I would greatly appreciate some help on this matter. Thank you!

It should. If you got a single code with VC08, even if you already have an active POL account, you should be able to enter it and it will register everything.

The codes are for your account, not for your install. As long as an expansion is installed, once you register it one platform it should be available for all, and you don't need to re-enter the codes again.

FWIW, I already had all the PS2 single discs (I was accumulating them long before I finally signed up) and got VC08 for ease of re-installation. It came with a single code.
